What are we misusing if we misuse the name of the Lord?
1) Relationship
Holy of Holies

Romans 8:14-15 (ESV)

Matthew 10:32-33 (ESV)
“So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”
2) Reputation
2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV)
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
“We do not have an off switch to be a Christian at a time or not.”
3) Rights
1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

  3. Rights
Psalm 29:1-2 (ESV)

REVERE – Utmost respect.
“If the president would come here, you might go to him and have a selfie or acknowledge him but have you ever thought that God who is greater is with us always and we don’t acknowledge Him.”
