Dosage of Hope

And when all of hope is gone, the will to stand for what is good will vanish with it. The Hopefoundations of what is good or bad will crumble down and thus a new process of creating foundations shall commence once more. Good and bad is relative in the bounds of man’s morality, intelligence and conscience; for that very reason, it is crucial to have absolutes. What are absolutes? Absolutes are values or principles that are regarded as universally valid or that may be viewed without relation to other things. Absolutes govern all existence and become the backbone of rational and even the irrational thought.

People change because of experiences and hope diminished like a bucket of water filled and then emptied due to the leaks. People lose hope and their character leaks out with it. The concept of what is good and bad becomes degraded into an image of preference thus those that we call absolutes are shrouded by ignorance.

It is a poisonous gas that we all breathe in and no one is immune to it but there is always awareness; awareness in the entity of being drained away. I know that in this writing, I may also portray hopelessness but in my eyes as a writer, this is a stride for fresh air. An inhale of what is just and an exhale of what is ignoble.

It grieves me to see such a circumstance coming to be. When what is just is ignored and what is wrong held onto blindly to escape inconvenience and the wreck of achievement. It is an age of uncertainty as the book I am currently reading mentions. An age where what is wrong is wrong but is passed on as “it’ll do” for convenience and a perplexed sense of peace.

As the author Pittacus Lore puts it, “When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope.” In the face of all this all I know is that the world will continue to revolve and that can never stop a man from walking east to west or west to east. When one man’s hope dies, not all man’s hope dies along with him. So this is a message for all those who hope: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” – Galatians 5:1, KJV.
